Sympathy Cards

This post is going to be short and sweet.  These two cards are sympathy cards as you can tell from the title of the post.

The card above is fairly easy to make. Make the backgrounds and mats, then stamp on the white piece.  Cut out or use banner framelits to cut out two banners.  I cut the Baja Breeze banner a bit shorter than the black one.  I stamped the flower with the black gem in the center on a separate white scrap of card stock, then punched it out with a circle punch and attached it to the card.  Then I added some tiny flowers with gems in the center.

Supplies:

Ink: Black, Baja Breeze (Stampin’ Up)

Stamps: Kind Thoughts and Petal Parade (Stampin’ Up)

Paper: Baja Breeze card stock, white card stock, grey pattern paper

Other: Banner Framelits and Flower punch (Stampin’ Up), circle punch (Creative Memories), black ribbon, silver and black gems, Zots

Sorry for all the crazy placement of the text, but I am new to this and cannot figure out how to keep the text with no spaces in between lines.  Sometimes it does keeps it the way I want it, and other times it adds an extra space in between lines.  If you have any ideas as how to fix it, comment or email me.

The next card is pretty simple too.  I used the globe stamp first and stamped it three times with Baked Brown Sugar.  Then I stamped the journal stamp along the left side twice in Pacific Point.  I stamped the ship and compass on a separate piece and used a dry baby wipe to gently dip in the new juicy ink pad and smudge around the edge to give it some pop off the blue.  A dauber or sponge could also be used, but the dry baby wipe was close by.  I tied hemp cord around the background, tied it in a knot and attached it to the kraft base card.
